Member Search criteria

We’ve had a few employers reach out to us recently about the Member Search functionality in the Employer Portal and the criteria needed for it.

We’d like to remind you that when using one of the NI Number combinations, you should only use the first eight digits, omitting the A, B, C or D at the end.

For example:

Richard’s NI number is: JJ123456D and his date of birth is 01/01/1990.

In the Member Search functionality, you’d therefore use:

NI Number: JJ123456

Date of Birth: 01/01/1990

Additionally, when using Teachers Pensions’ (TP) Reference number and Gender combination, this should be the seven digits only and no forward slash.

For example:

Jack’s TP Reference Number is 12/34567 and he identifies as male.

In the Member Search functionality, you’d therefore use:

TP Reference Number: 1234567

Gender: Male

We’ve added additional information to our Member Search criteria for both the NI Number and the TP Reference Number sections to state the backslash needs omitting.

If you have any questions, please let get in touch through Employer Secure Messaging in the Employer Portal.
